Pocket PC is a handy device which enables user to store and retrieve e-mails, contacts, appointments, tasks, play multimedia files, games, exchange text messages with Windows Live Messengers like MSN Messenger, browse the web and more. Microsoft’s new release on Pocket PC is Windows Mobile 6; its internal code name is Crossbow. Also it comes with a promise of supporting Windows Vista. The previous version Windows Mobile 5.0 contains both phone and PDA capabilities. It was compatible with Microsoft’s Smartphone operating system and capable of running Smartphone applications.

Some of the manufacturers of Pocket PC are HP, Toshiba, Acer, ASUS, Dell, Fujitsu Siemens, HTC and ViewSonic. Companies like O2, T-mobile and Orange are marketing PC with integrated mobile telephony.
